Video explaining Stochastic Models integration in SUMO

Starting with the question "What is the effect of e-scooter slow zones in Ingolstadt?" we approach the solutions in three steps:

  • Simulate traffic today

  • Simulate traffic with e-scooter slow zones

  • Compare safety and efficiency

In our approach with various parameters, we propose the establishment of a slow-speed zone in which the maximum speed of e-scooters in the danger zone is limited to 10 km/h in order to prevent accidents.

In the video you can see our approach and the research questions we simulated in the SAVeNOw project.
